Visit to Ontario at Easter

Posted in Willow's World at 8:37 am by Scott Warris

I talked Mommy into going on a plane with me to Ontario. It is the last time I will fly for free before I turn two next month so she thought it was a good idea too! A really nice flight attendent at WestJet let me wear her vest and help her work on the plane. She told me I can apply for her job in about 16 years!

Gramma Kelsey gave me a new book and read lots of stories to me. She has lots of fun pencils and notebooks to play with too. Her favourite stores are Chapters and Staples so she has all of my favourite things to get into!

Gramma Kelsey has a very fun little poodle puppy named Lucy. I like to call Gramma Nana Puppy. Puppy’s kennel is almost as much fun as Lucy is! Just the right size for both of us.

I was showing Lucy my Silly Dog book – but I don’t think she likes reading very much! But she likes hugs and kissses and I gave her lots of those!

We took Lucy for a ride in the van and she sat with me. I don’t think she likes riding in the van as much as I do either. I don’t know what a Vet is – but apparently Lucy doesn’t like going there and that is where she thought we were going.

Actually we were going to see Uncle Russ and Uncle Ron and Aunt Vita and Uncle Tim at Quadica. Uncle Russ likes stickers as much as I do.

Uncle Russ made me a really cool puzzle of my name and Aunt Vita helped me play with it. He even made me a wooden letter box to keep all the letters in. Mommy thought it was great except for the fact there are about 150 letters to put into the box! I am very good at taking them all out – and still working on putting them all back in!

Uncle Ron came to visit us at Grandpa’s for Easter. We all had a big dinner and even a bunny cake.

We had eggs and ham for Easter breakfast. Grandpa says he doesn’t like green eggs and ham – but it’s my favourite book!

Grandpa helping me with lunch. I like peas too!

Gramma Irene and their kittty Boots.

Easter eggs are fun!

Gramma Irene knits me lots of stuff – but I like her hat and mitts too!

Auntie Debbie came for a visit with her granddaughter Cara. We had lots of fun tiring Grandpa out!

Gramma’s girls.

Ready for the weather! Someone said this was supposed to be spring! Looks like winter to me.

I fell in the box but instead of helping me out – they took a picture!

I have three Grammas. Nana Puppy, Nana and Papa and Nana Jeanie.

We also had a party at Aunt Barb’s. Gramma Jeanie and I shared a glass of cheer!

I also had tea with the teddy bear with Aunt Barb’s tea set.

My cousin Hunter joined me for tea as well.

I am not sure Hunter actually likes tea parties.

But I sure do.

My cousin Corey has it figured out. But he might not like his karate friends to see this picture.

Sometimes you just really need a bath.

Bath time with Hunter.

My old bathtub from the van still fits. Works great in Grandpa’s shower.

Had a short visit with Aunt Judy.

Connie May helped me try out the trike.

Amanda May showed me how to use MSN.

Grandma Jeanie lives in Tillsonburg now so we got to visit her lots of times.

But then our time was over and we had to say good-bye.

Nana and Papa and Aunt Vita drove us to the airport.

I like flying – but landing hurts my ears when I have a cold. Mommy was happy when we touched down!

Daddy had to stay home this trip. He met us at the airport with balloons.

I really missed Daddy- next time we all will go together. See you again this summer!

Hooray you budding tea-totler! My favourite pics are of you in your ‘royal purple’ dress hosting your very first High Tea with your cousins; what a gorgeous little tea-set and table/chair setting. You look a little princess alright….so lovely to see your progress these past 2 years through your blog even though I am far away on the other side of your world. When I see you again, your house will be all finished….I like seeing all the work you guys have been doing. I look forward to some summer photos, especially of the waterfall.

I also enjoyed viewing footage of your first many words; I laughed so much hearing all the same things my babies used to say imitating animals. It won’t be long before you’re stringing them all into proper sentences and having great conversations with mum and dad!

Lots of love to you, mommy and daddy….Sandra in Canberra

It was great getting to see you and mommy while you were here in Ontario, and I know that Corey & Hunter loved seeing you too. You’re right, I’m not so sure that Hunter liked the tea party, but Corey certainly did, but we are keeping that picture a secret! Shhh!

Too bad we didn’t get more time to visit, and use the swings & sandbox, but next time you come, we’ll have some days to spend with you guys and we hopefully will get outside.

Glad you had a good flight home and I know you missed daddy while you were away (and I’m sure he really missed you too), but looks like he gave you a great welcoming home!

    Love you,
Aunt Lynda, Uncle Dale, Corey & Hunter (your bath buddy)

By the way, Hunter can’t wait to see “Cot” and “Pen” too when you come this way next time.

    Hi Willow:

My, but hasn’t your hair grown, and what lovely curls! So you had a nice visit back East seeing your other 3 grandmothers, Nana’s I mean, really. Thank you for sharing all those photographs of your visit with me – I enjoyed looking at all of them. It’s been so long since I saw you that I can hardly recognize you. You’ve got all your baby teeth now and that hair of yours is simply gorgeous.

When do I get to see you again? I have a present for you that came all the way from Australia which I haven’t yet been able to give to you. Please ask Mum and Dad to bring you over sometime, or if that is not OK, maybe I could come over to your house, eh?

‘Bye for now and hope to see you soon.

Lots of love to you, Mum and Dad

    Grandma Wise

I’m a little late looking at your beautiful pictures Willow. I have been so-o-o busy lately working on a little book for you which is almost ready to mail. I know how much you love books. This one will help you learn all your colours.

I’ve missed you since you went home but what a wonderful way to keep in touch. The picture of you eating a jam toast is priceless.

Looking forward to another visit this summer.

    Love Nana Puppy
